This could be one of the wildest yet most fun variations of Omaha you’ll ever encounter. To the novice eye, it’s incredibly intimidating but once you learn it, it’ll become a regular in your mixed games rotation

Overview

Community Cards: 11 | Player Cards: 4 | Betting Rounds: 5

Each player is dealt 4 cards face down, and 11 community cards are dealt face down in three rows: two rows of 4 cards and one row of 3 cards. The goal is to create the best 5 card hand using 2 cards from your hand, 2 cards from either the top or middle row (no combos) and 1 card from the bottom row. It’s typically played as a hi/lo game, 8 or better, meaning the pot is split between the best high hand and best lo hand.

Step By Step Instructions:

Deal each player 4 cards and deal 11 community cards in 3 rows of 4, 4, and 3. Initiate the first betting round.

Flip four of the community cards over — 2 cards from the top row, and 2 cards from the middle row. Initiate second betting round.

Flip the remaining community cards in the top two rows. Initiate third betting round

Flip 2 community cards from the bottom row. Initiate fourth betting round.

Flip the last community card. Initiate fifth and final betting round

Showdown

Remaining players flip their cards and the winner is determined based on which player can make the best 5 card hi/lo 8 or better hand using only 2 cards from either top or middle row, and one card from the bottom row. It should be noted that if there is no card 8 or lower in the bottom row, than the entire pot goes to the hi hand.
