A Little Gem I Found
While browsing YouTube
Michelle Monet mentioned not too long ago that she enjoys browsing YouTube and regularly finds genius on it.
That kind of inspired me to browse YouTube (while slacking off at work, *shhhh* you haven’t seen me here) and wouldn’t you know it, I did stumble across something wonderful.
It’s called “The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows”. Maybe you already know about it. I realize I am late to the party and this channel has been up since 2014. It tries to give a name to those hard to define feelings.
I have not tried this out, because I only just discovered it and I have right at this moment 3 things I’m working on, but these videos seem like they would be a fantastic aid against writers block. They describe a feeling perfectly, complete with music that sets the mood. I am so going to try to write stories describing how the protagonist got to feel that feeling. Something told me to take note of the channel, save it, file it away for later. Of course my next thought was to share it. Because we all need a little help sometimes.
If this happens to show up at a time you could use it, let me know how it went. Did it work like I am expecting it too?
