We care about privacy, freedom, and everything in between – this is one of the reasons we care about the crypto space in the first place. And we want to support people who fight for those rights on behalf of all of us, every day of the year.

Unspent is a humble business, yet every bit matters, so we’re glad to start donating 5% of Unspent’s annual revenue to two organizations we care about: the Electronic Frontier Foundation, and La Quadrature du Net. The EFF is a US non-profit, and is active on matters across the US and the world; LQDN is a French non-profit, involved on topics that involve France, Europe, and the rest of the world. They have been defending people’s liberties across the world for 30+ and 12+ years, respectively.

Unspent is based in France, so supporting La Quadrature du Net is dear to our hearts; Unspent’s customers span the whole world, and as citizens of the world ourselves, it’s important to us to support the global and long-standing organization that the EFF is.

At the end of every year, starting in 2021, Unspent will be donating 5% of its total revenue to both organizations, 50% each, donated in Bitcoin. For accountability, we’ll be publicly publishing Unspent’s total revenue, the amount donated, and the transaction hashes of the two donations.

We hope you take pride, with your Unspent subscription, in making a small contribution toward fighting for a better world — we sure do!
