Tell us about yourself
I’m an 18 year old photographer based in Singapore. Much of my work involves cityscapes and drone photographs and my style is one that’s striking and definitive. I’m the 2nd largest contributor to Unsplash (second to Annie Spratt) and the 7th most viewed photographer on Unsplash last year, currently at 200,000,000+ views.
Previously Asia’s only Unsplash Ambassador (until the Unsplash Host system was introduced)!
Shooting on
I’m shooting on anything Nikon at the moment — the D5, D810, D750 along with a fleet of Nikon primes (14mm f2.8, 50mm f1.2, 85mm f1.4, 300mm f4 PF). And of course, the DJI Mavic for a different perspective.
What do you love about living in Singapore?
Everything in Singapore is convenient and easily accessible by public transport — it won’t take more than 90 minutes to travel from east to west. That means exotic and aesthetic shooting spots are always within reach.
Favourite spot to shoot in Singapore
The tallest HDB buildings around (public housing projects)! These developments are normally built up to 50 storeys, 150 metres in the sky. It’s always surreal and breathtaking to be watching the city’s vast expanse from above, or savour the evening sunset.
Future Plans
I’m always excited to see where my Unsplash photographs appear! It’s interesting to see them used in newspaper articles and even as advertisements by the biggest brands around, shown to myself!
Are you interested in organising an Unsplash event in your area? We’d love to hear from you! Here’s where to start.
