Makers to Merchants: Weebly + Unsplash at WeWork — Nashville

In May we had the privilege of joining Weebly at the first stop of their Makers to Merchants tour, at WeWork in Nashville, Tennessee.

This stop was a 4-day collection of talks, workshops, pop-ups (and drinks) — an excuse for Nashville’s makers and shakers to get together, swap stories, get over hurdles and find ways to turn their projects into whatever’s next.

During the event, Unsplash provided free portraits and product shots for those in attendance. We hired local Unsplash contributors and photographers Mitchell Hollander and Mika Matin to help us out.

Josh Ness, an Unsplash photographer and creator of The Explorer Dad, was also kind enough to attend Makers to Merchants and speak on the The Art of the Side Hustle Panel along with writer Chris Guillebeau, artist Kelsey Kelley, chef Simoni Kigweba, and musicians Drew & Ellie Holcomb.

It was incredibly inspiring and encouraging to talk with so many passionate people throughout the week; people working hard to bring their dreams and side hustles to life. Hearing the stories of success and failure and the lessons learned from each shared by the speakers and panelists, I’m confident we were all where we needed to be: together in that room.

We were there for each other. Those looking for inspiration, guidance, advice, and those who were excited to provide it. There are few better places to be than surrounded by others who share your passions and who want to empower you to succeed and achieve your dreams.

Nashville was only the first stop of the Makers to Merchants tour. If you’re interested in attending one of these events in the future, you can find more information on the Makers to Merchant website.
