The Best Thing Since Sliced Bread!
What might that be, you ask! RTT — Rapid Transformational Therapy. This is an innovative new type of therapy developed by Marisa Peer, renowned UK therapist, that produces results fast, often in just one session. Do you believe that there is no solution for you or that you must participate in years of traditional talk therapy to get where you want to be? Not true!
RTT is the process of recoding or rewiring the mind by accessing the unconscious, and it utilizes a combination of hypnosis, neurolinguistic programming, and dialectic behavioural therapy components to do that. When a person is in hypnosis, the brain is in an alpha brain wave state and the critical factor (which is always present in a “normal” beta brain wave state) is removed. This allows the mind to be open to having old beliefs and patterns replaced with updated, functional, beneficial beliefs and behaviours.
Is this for real? Absolutely! It is backed by science. According to Robert Montenegro of The Big Think (June 11, 2015), we have recently gained more incite into the concept of neuroplasticity which shows us how hypnosis allows us to alter our neurochemistry. He says:
…we used to think our brain was what it was — unchangeable, unalterable. We were stuck with what nature gave us. In actuality, our brains are like plastic. We can alter neurochemistry to change beliefs, thought processes, emotions, etc. You are the architect of your brain. You also have the power to act against dangerous impulses such as addiction. The therapeutic possibilities here are endless.
Brainworks describes neuroplasticity as the ‘muscle building’ part of the brain; the things we do often we become stronger at, and what we don’t use fades away, and by harnessing neuroplasticity we can improve everything we do and think. We do that through hypnosis — but RTT is not hypnosis alone. Hypnosis opens the door, and the RTT process accesses the root causes and causes the transformation.
The Stanford Medicine News Center published a report (July 28, 2016) which confirms that hypnosis is a serious science and the brain does have the ability to heal both medical and psychiatric conditions. The report goes on to say that it is a very powerful means of changing the way we use our minds to control perception and our bodies. Keep in mind that to achieve real transformation, it is hypnosis that allows transformation — and a full RTT process causes transformation, during and following hypnosis.
To be clear, RTT is not anything like the performances we might have seen on television or on stage. RTT is based on established rules of the mind and uses these, along with other proven tools, to help people discover the root causes of their physical and/or emotional issues and to then eradicate them, and finally to recode their minds with up-to-date accurate information. It is truly a marvel.
Marisa describes three rules of the mind as:
1. Your mind does exactly what it thinks you want it to do and what it absolutely believes is in your very best interests, based on the thoughts, feelings and beliefs it has registered from your thinking, responses, perception and interpretation of your life and events;
2. Your mind only responds to the pictures you make in your head and the words you say to yourself and you can change them at any time, but your words (habitual words and thoughts) become your reality;
3. What’s negative and familiar, make that unfamiliar by leaving it behind, and what’s positive and unfamiliar, make it familiar by leaning towards it. Create and form new habits.
The rules of the mind are the foundation for the cures that a licensed RTT Practitioner might implement in a therapy session. RTT can be used for emotional issues like anxiety or depression, confidence and self esteem, fear of flying, addictions, insomnia, phobias, and for physical ailments like psoriasis, excessive sweating, infertility, chronic fatigue, irritable bowel syndrome, and much, much more.
Still wondering if it is too good to be true? RTT is an award winning therapy and in 2018, in just a six month period, won 13 awards. There is a growing international recognition of its effectiveness and high demand for practitioners.
I have been studying it for several months and I am ready to begin practicing! Any volunteers?!
