Untapped Ventures: Year In Review 2022
As 2023 starts, we would like to share with you our amazing achievements and how we worked towards our continued mission in helping humanity reach its untapped potential in 2022.
Investments
We made 9 investments in 2022 bringing Fund I’s total to 11 portfolio companies in different fields like fintech, web3, recruiting, employee wellbeing, healthy lifestyle, and more! We’ve given them advisory services in the different stages of their journey including validation, funding, and recruiting through the Fund I Portfolio CEO Mastermind group we created.
Investments included Finnt, Arro, Fitcoin, Teamfulness, Braav, Openstock, Futureloop, BlueQubit, and Metaintro, which raised over $5M after the crypto crash!

Team
We are now a team of 10 people all over the world committed to the same goal! This year, we brought on the best talent to step up the game and make sure we give our portfolio startups true value-add by adding 7 people to our team, from Argentina to Armenia non-stop.

Events
We hosted 5 events for founders, investors, and the broader ecosystem. In 2022 we organized the Untapped Startup Academy with the City of Burbank for founders ready to build the next big thing. We hosted webinars focused on topics like Web3 Venture Landscape and How to Build the Next Unicorn. We held fireside chats with investors to share our knowledge with the startup community. We hosted the A360 closing party, and two big Investor Summits to connect with our current and prospective investors and share our updates with them.

Interns.
15 interns have left their spark at Untapped, and counting! Our internship program attracts smart, capable and diverse talent eager to learn about VC, from all over the world. The Venture Analyst internship is very desirable but as a venture builder, we also offer internships in marketing, design, and engineering. Our team keeps getting bigger and bigger, 2023 we are ready!

What’s new in 2023?
In 2023 we have big news: we identified a large gap in the market regarding how tech startup founders are served. Specifically, there is a CEO Peer Group aka Forum Group, aka Mastermind model that is completely proven, incredibly valuable, and totally desirable by founders, which is blatantly missing from the tech startup founder community. We’re going to solve this problem and bring this solution to market at scale.
Think YPO or EO for venture-scale founders.
A group of 10 founders meets every 2 weeks with George as the facilitator leveraging the Untapped Method. YPO/EO forum groups last many years, often decades, as founders go through entire entrepreneurial and life journeys together from idea to scale to exit to starting something new.
We plan to invest (more capital than most accelerators do) into every single Mastermind member. In addition, founders will have access to capital, entrepreneurship education, exclusive events, and mentorship.
That’s why we’re launching the Untapped Masterminds: a proven model leveraging the Untapped Method. In doing so, we’ll arm founders with the support they need throughout the trials and tribulations they’ll face in the early-stage startup journey
