Another huge event held is The famous Tennessee state fair, every September. Even though Nashville’s main draw in is the legendary music, Nashville is also home to some very important historical sites such as The Battle of Nashville, The Battle of Franklin and the Battle of Stones River. Another, more historical, place to visit is the plantation houses known as Belle Meade, Carnton and Belmont Mansion. Nashville also has many art museums and centers to visit including the First Center for the Visual Arts, Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of art, and The Johnny cash Museum. If food, music, art and history does not get you excited, Nashville is also home to five professional sport franchises. The Tennessee Titans who play in the National Football League and The Nashville Predators who play in the National Hockey League.
