Buffalo Student Sandbox is seeking college- and graduate-student applicants for the second round of its nine-week summer accelerator program.
The program provides mentors, education and stipends to teams of student entrepreneurs who work to build startup companies. They will also participate in the University at Buffalo Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership’s startup course. At the end of the nine-week program, teams will compete for cash prizes.
Eight teams competed last year. They have since raised capital and launched products, and one of them went on to earn a $100,000 investment.
Applications are due March 1 and can be filed at WNYincubators.com/Sandbox.
The program is administered by WNY Incubator Network, a group of business incubators, along with UB’s Office of Economic Development. It runs from May 30 to July 29.
