IgniteU NY is gearing up for their signature early-accelerator program scheduled for this summer. The program will start in early June and run through early August, concluding with a demo day at the end of July.

Cohort 2 participates will benefit from IgniteU NY’s new space in the Quackenbush Building located in downtown Troy, NY. The Tech Valley Center of Gravity currently occupies the first floor, and there are other startups and innovative companies already in the building. This creates a stellar collaborative environment for accelerator participants to learn from successful movers and shakers, adding to IgniteU NY’s entrepreneur support initiative.

Success stories from last year’s cohort are already starting to emerge. If you’ve been following along with the UNY Pulse, you already know that IgniteU NY graduate ChugaChaga is forging new ground at the Food-X accelerator in NYC. Having recently launched a Kickstarter campaign, the team is primed to start shipping out their organic mushroom tea this April.

IgniteU NY is also adding new programs to their lineup, including an Ed-Tech Forum and Showcase scheduled for March 21st. The event will feature speakers and presentation from industry leaders including Upstate NY startups. Additional presenters are needed. The application process for startups has also been slightly modified this year. More details will be released soon.
