Get the Full Material Experience: Go Responsive and Immersive
After a lot of research, trial and error, we have found ways to get you as close to Material as possible and give you the possibility to almost touch the product or concept. Today, it is with a lot of excitement that we announce two new ways to explore Material Design on MaterialUp: The Responsive and Immersive modes. You can try it now here.
Why new modes?
The responsive and immersive modes give you as a user, an incredibly better experience when exploring Material Design inspiration by getting you as close to the product as possible.
You’ll find them on as many posts as possible: Dribbble shots (with attachments), prototypes — such as CodePens, FramerJs, Marvel, websites and apps (with screenshots).
Intrigued? Let’s dig in!
The Immersive Mode
The immersive mode takes away all distractions from your screen, to show you the design and the design only, in totally full screen mode. This is the best experience you can get to really feel the design and explore into all its details. You’ll be able to navigate through the post or design by clicking on it (prototypes or CodePens) or by using the navigation arrows.
Browse using the Immersive mode on a Dribbble example (with attachments), a CodePen example, a FramerJs example, a website example or an app example (with screenshots).
The Responsive Mode
The Responsive mode was built to help you explore designs and products in a more practical way. From all almost full screen, it lets you easily view how it displays on various devices: phone, laptop, desktop and even TV.
Because it’s always such a shame to see beautiful designs break completely, the responsive mode will be a great to observe and learn how a design should or shouldn’t behave on different devices. We certainly hope it will help you create fully responsive designs and products!

We created the Responsive and Immersive modes to help you explore deeper into good inspiration and learn from other people’s work. We hope you enjoy the new modes as much as we do!
