To make a submission on MaterialUp you must provide a url, which means your photo(s0 or gif should be uploaded somewhere. Now, we don’t want you to feel obliged to have a to portfolio or a website to do that; so we made it possible to make submission on MaterialUp from Imgur.

Imgur is one of the largest, if not the largest, image host on the internet. It’s also free, making it the easiest way for you to share great Material Design inspiration on MaterialUp. Also, you can submit single images, albums or galleries from Imgur.

How to submit an image or album from Imgur

Follow the same steps as for any other submission on MaterialUp: click on the +fab from the home page and choose your category. On the submission form, paste the Imgur Image link as seen below, not the page url.

Where to get Imgur Image Link

The image will automatically be uploaded; and as you can see on the image below, if it’s an album you can actually choose your main image. The rest of the album will be downloaded as screenshots.

Paste the Imgur url in the submission form

Fill in the rest of the form as usual and hit the submit button. All done! Once we approve your submission, it will appear on the showcase just like any other submission, linking back to the Imgur image or album.

An Imgur album becomes a full post with screenshots
