Twitter is widely used to share inspiring work, get exposure and start great discussion. Much like MaterialUp don’t you think? So, with the aim of making sharing Material Design work as easy and open as possible, it is now possible to make submission from a tweet!
How can I submit a tweet?
Like any other submission on MaterialUp, click on the +fab from the main page, choose your category and on the submission form input the url to the tweet.
The image will automatically be uploaded as you can seen on the image below. Hashtags will be extracted as tags, and the tweet author is considered the creator. Of course you should overwrite all this information if need be.
There’s a tiny hiccup: if the image is a GIF, we can only get the first frame because Twitter converts it into a video format (MP4). But, like anything on the submission form, you can overwrite the image with the right gif if you have it.
Then hit the submit button; and if your submission is approved, you’ll soon see it on the showcase!
What’s next?
Continuing on adding integration to make submissions as convenient as possible, we’ll soon integrate with Imgur and explain you all about it. Stay tuned!
