Text Colour
- You can now add colours to text in Moodle
An option now appears in the text toolbar to quickly change text colour to a pre-set colour or use the colour picker tool to select a new colour
Word Count
- In the expanded text editor toolbar you now have a tool to count words in Moodle
The new # button will give you a word and character count inside of Moodle.
H5P — updated to version 1.7
- H5P activities can be made available on the web when embedded in courses with guest access.
- Editor module has an updated appearance and functionality.
The Editor in Moodle is no longer just a dropdown menu. Now you can search by name and sort by popular, newest, A to Z, or recent.
Badges
Moodle no longer uses Persona to connect to Moodle open badges and will instead send verification emails itself.
Level Up!
- The Level Up! Feature has been added.
- Add a block to your course to display a level and experience bar for each student
- Attach experience to activities and resources and customize level requirements
Reengagement
- The Reengagement resource has been added to Moodle
- Can automatically send reminders about upcoming deadlines
- Can be used to release sequential activities (e.g. A sequential case study where Moodle will send out the ‘second day’ of a case study after a student has completed the first section of the study.
Stash
- The Stash feature has been added. Use the Stash block to add collectables to your course.
- Add images and generate an embed code with the Stash
- Add the embed code to an activity or resource to let students add the item to their collection
