In case it’s unclear, Upfront Ventures is #LongLA. At this year’s Upfront Summit, we were proud to convene a global group of investors, entrepreneurs, executives and thinkers to showcase the talent, innovation, and creativity we experience every day in Los Angeles.

And there could be no better champion of LA’s growth than newly re-elected Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, who spoke about the tremendous technology, innovation and economic resources in Los Angeles. For a perspective on the continued tech surge in Los Angeles, read Mark Suster’s take here, and watch Mayor Garcetti’s 10-minute keynote:

As excited as we may be about Los Angeles, it’s clear that innovation, impact and influence are created everywhere. So we were equally excited to have Mayor Pete Buttigieg from South Bend, Indiana, who spoke with serial entrepreneur (and native Angeleno) Joe Green about his vision for the future, how tech is affecting South Bend, and building a national dialogue. Don’t miss their discussion here (or read Mark Suster’s summary).
