Genesis Week: Schedule and Rules 📑

Exactly one year ago, our vision for Upland became a reality. After a period of planning, strategy, raising capital, building the team and developing the technological foundation, we finally had a working version of our platform. To verify that everything worked properly, we created a test account and minted the first property ever at 1829 Jefferson Street. And so Upland was born 👾.

This week is all about celebrating that first minting. To commemorate the creation of the one property that started it all, we have put together our most ambitious event to date: seven full days including challenges, details/reveals, new features, contests — the works!

As the main attraction, we will have five “mini-events” in Genesis Week. The winners of each will be entered into a drawing for some pretty cool prizes (drawing live on Saturday, June 13, time TBD). The Grand Prize, naturally, will be the genesis property itself 🤯

There’s more! 😱 It just so happens that we’re not the only ones celebrating a birthday. Wombat, creators of a very nifty EOS wallet (pun intended), will also be celebrating their first year. Wombat, like Upland, is a Finlab VC funded company, and they have decided to sponsor our event with some additional prizes:

2nd place: 100 EOS
3rd place: 50 EOS
4th place: 25 EOS
5th place: 10 EOS

This full week extravaganza has been designed to be accessible for all players: new and experienced, freemium and paid. A schedule and list of rules/conditions are available below. The names and certain details of the mini-events have been omitted so as not to ruin them. We’ll start the week off with two mini-events, both to begin at 06:00 AM Pacific. Each will last 72 hours. The first will include a special temporary collection that will need to be completed. The second is an arcade-style challenge. Full details to be posted on Twitter leading up to the events.

During this day, we will also publish the long-awaited roadmap for Property Development in Upland.

Tuesday, 09 June

Wednesday, 10 June

Mini-Event #1 and Mini-Event #2 end.

Two more events will begin at 06:00 AM Pacific Time. Each will last 72 hours. One will involve your properties. The other will have a San Francisco neighborhood as its spotlight. See Twitter for full details leading up to the event.

On this day we will also push a long-awaited update. We’ll send you an in-game notification ahead of time so you don’t get caught in the middle of a treasure hunt (we heard you loud and clear on that).

Thursday, 11 June

Mini-Event #4 and Mini-Event #5 continue.

On this day we will be launching the Upland Contributor Network (UCN), we’ll publish full details.

Friday, 12 June

After you have had some time to digest the week’s action, we will hold an AMA at 10:00 AM Pacific Time. A link will be posted on social media.

Saturday, 13 June

Mini-Event #4 and Mini-Event #5 end.

Contest winners and prize drawings will be announced on livestream at 10:00 AM Pacific Time. A link will be posted on social media.

Rules and Conditions

1. The Genesis Week event will be held between 06:00 AM Pacific Time on 07 June 2020 and 11:59 PM Pacific Time on 13 June 2020. The event is conducted by the creator of Upland: Uplandme, Inc. (herein: “the game operator”). It includes multiple mini-events, which are here defined as specific events with their own rules and times within this set week. Certain details of these mini-events are mentioned above, while others by design are to be revealed on social media during the course of the event.
2. No purchase necessary.
3. All Upland users are eligible to participate in the competition so long as they hold an Upland account and provided that they have abided by and continue to abide by the game operator’s Terms of Use (AKA: Terms and Conditions or Terms of Service).
4. Winning a mini-event grants the user entry into a draw for prizes (see section 8 below). A user may only win one mini-event and therefore receive only one entry into the prize draw pool. If a user wins more than one mini-event, he or she will retain their one entry and alternative winners will be chosen for the other mini-events at the discretion of the game operator.
5. We reiterate that having more than one account per person is strictly prohibited. If the use of multiple accounts by a single individual is detected it may void said user’s eligibility in all of the aforementioned in addition to other potential penalties or consequences levied by the game operator.
6. If a “mini-event”, as defined in the text above, results in more than one winner, a pre-draw for prizes will be conducted.
7. Winners of prizes will be drawn in a livestream to be held on Saturday, 13 June 2020 at 10:00 AM Pacific Time. Link to livestream will be made available on social media.
8. If no user wins a specific mini-event, the distribution of leftover prizes will be at the discretion of the game operator.
