It is now time to prepare for the greatest battle in all of Upland’s history!
The Sandbox Championship is starting on Monday, January 11th at 8am PT!
This last past week we saw a fierce contest between 10 prominent neighborhoods. A variety of clever strategies were deployed, but only 3 teams could make it to the top.
Panhandle, Dogpatch, and Merced Manor prevailed over the competition.
As it turns out, size didn’t matter in this battle. Instead, coordination and community building played a major role in determining the victors.
This time, the rules are the same (get points for building structures in your neighborhood, and the neighborhood with the most points wins) but the stakes are much higher.
Remember, the winning neighborhood will receive a Spud Colossus statue, contributing to the neighborhood’s development score with the equivalent of 10 home addresses. Of course, the winning team will also get bragging rights for being the neighborhood that has the best coordinated effort in recruiting and building for their cause.
The 2nd and 3rd place neighborhoods will receive a monument that will contribute to the neighborhood’s development score with the equivalent 3 home addresses.

All players, Uplander and above, will receive their updated spud amount on Monday morning, prior to the beginning of the championship. Get ready, because you don’t want to waste a minute of your precious building time.
There will be wheeling and dealing of all sorts, as new alliances are forged and trades are made to keep the peace between former enemies. You’ll want to pay close attention to this one, because it will be a huge event!
