New Models are Coming to Upland
As a part of the West Coast Building Venture, we’re excited to announce that 2 new structure NFTs will be coming to Upland! Starting tomorrow, players will be able to start building 2 new variations of player homes; the Luxury Ranch House, and the Luxury Modern House.
In addition to these new models, we will also be including a new visual variation of the Small Town House. This new variation will be available TODAY!
To celebrate the arrival of these new models, we will be hosting a building competition in all cities on the West Coast; including San Francisco, Oakland, Fresno, and Bakersfield. Yes, that means that construction is now enabled for all West Coast cities!
The West Coast Luxury Homes Competition
The hallmark event of the West Coast Building Venture will be the Luxury Homes Competition. Players will compete to build the most luxury home NFTs (Luxury Ranch house & Luxury Modern House) in Upland neighborhoods. Players who contribute to neighborhoods that build the highest volume of new luxury buildings will walk away with Spark rewards!
This competition will begin tomorrow, June 26th, at 9:00 AM PT, and will run over the course of the next 14 days until July 9th. The new luxury home models will also become available at this time.
Working Together
It will be up to the community to organize, plan, and execute their building strategies to best optimize their rewards. Rewards will be split amongst the top 100 players who contribute to the winning neighborhoods; the top 100 players will receive an even distribution of Spark rewards.
Part of this challenge will be to work together with the community. As such, we have launched a new channel in Discord called #neighborhood-recruitment where players can advocate for the development of their target neighborhoods.
Note: Luxury homes will also have a boosted Spark staking capacity of 25 Spark for the duration of this competition!
Top Neighborhood Rewards
Neighborhoods that build the most luxury buildings will earn the following rewards to be split amongst contributors:
- 1st Place: 5 Spark
- 2nd Place: 3 Spark
- 3rd Place: 2 Spark
As previously mentioned in the Global Spark Drop post, structures with greater prestige will positively impact Neighborhood Ratings, which will determine which neighborhoods will spawn new collections. Luxury homes carry a greater prestige value and will impact ratings more significantly than existing models.
The Spark Sale
This weekend, players will also have an opportunity to register for the first sale of Spark in the Upland Store. Please note that this sale will only take place on the web version of the Upland App. See below for Details…
