UpNote 6.0: New app icon and Share notes via web link

We are excited to release a new version of UpNote with major feature updates and enhancements:)

First of all, you may have noticed our new app icon which are gradually released on all platforms. We would like to refresh UpNote icon with a cleaner and more modern accent while keeping the original shape of an upward pencil top. The new icon aligns with UpNote’s spirit of a clean, minimal and efficient app. This will also allow us to offer more customization to the icon to match with the selected theme in the future.

We have received various feedback from users about the new icon and will continue listening to the feedback and improving our icon :)

The key feature update in this version is sharing notes via a web link. This has been frequently requested and we are so glad to finally have it available on all platforms. Now you can easily share your note via a secret web link and send that link to your friends and readers.

On Mac, Windows and Linux app, you can click the share button in the top bar of your note editor and copy the web link to your note. This link is secret and if you need to change it, you can do so by clicking the Generate new link button.

Your note will appear on the web like this:

Once a note is shared, you will see the share icon highlighted in the top bar of your note editor. You can stop sharing anytime by clicking the share icon again and selecting the red Stop sharing button.

To share a note on iOS and Android, simply tap the share button top bar of your note editor.

In this release, we have also enhanced UpNote for better reliability and functionality. The enhancements include:

• New keyboard shortcut to quickly jump to UpNote’s main window on desktops (using Cmd/Ctrl + \)
• Improve reliability when pasting from Markdown into UpNote
• Improve exporting of notes to text
• Display a warning if the note is too long to prevent unwanted glitches
• Add Dart language option in code block
• Add Remove Formatting function to Android app
• Improve pasting of text, images and files into UpNote
