Defining the story and building a brand for a new way of working.
5 day sprint: Strategy, Proposition and Service definition, UX and Brand.

Background:
Sara Turnbull is a chartered environmentalist and social entrepreneur that leads and shapes organisations committed to sustainability. Her award winning consultancy work spans placemaking strategies, workspace, events, and community development.

Proposition development

Goal:
Sara had reached a pivotal point in her business where she was faced with a number of possible directions in which to take her consultancy. Sara needed to create a directional proposition not only for her clients but also to focus her attention on where to grow. As part of this exercise, she also needed to solidify her approach and break down her methods and suite of services into sellable chunks.

Approach:
Following a series of interviews with Sara and a research phase which delved into the future of work and workplace culture, Sara’s ‘What’ and ‘How’ became clear.

Defining the problem:
Through interviews and research I boiled the problem statement down to ‘Businesses that are disconnected cannot create an environment to thrive’

Shifts: Future business needs = WorkWild opportunities

Identifying the solution:
Having mapped the practices of WorkWild it was clear that her services connected businesses in three complimentary ways. I built a proposition around these points of connection.

Connect to Purpose
Connect People & Place
Connect Mind & Body

Identifying services:
WorkWild offered a number of solutions to businesses depending on the where they were on their journey. We boiled down her services into 3 clear complimentary offers.

Outcome:
A simple wireframe and a suite of marketing materials gave Sara and her team a business strategy for onboarding clients and a direction of travel for building new services.

Next steps:

As WorkWild has grown Sara and I have worked on developing a second stage proposition.
