This is Carlos.

Carlos came to us with this idea about a platform where you could sell your own home, on your own. His team needed help to figure out the product market fit and after multiple iterations and pivots Vendu was born.

Now, Vendu.ai has grown into an advanced AI service that gives homebuyers unique insights into the technical state of a property and what they are actually buying.

We had a 5 min google doc-talk with the busy founder the other day.

Enjoy!

Q: Why did you start Vendu? (Give us the elevator-pitch!)

C: We aim to help people make good choices, and make home trading and housing safer and easier for everyone.

Q: When in this start-up journey did you start looking for a partner?

C: When we started to prototype/make the MVP.

Q: What did you look for in a partner? (What was important for Vendu?)

C: Skills, complementary competence and personal fit. It was important that our tech/design partner had grit and a long term perspective.

Q: How did you get in contact with uppercase?

C: Several tech agencies pointed out uppercase as a good tech partner for us as a startup.

Q: How has the collaboration with uppercase helped Vendu?

C: uppercase has been instrumental in the development of Vendu. The product and tech team at uppercase has given Vendu the capacity to run our platform and develop new features and machine learning methods along the way (architecture, machine learning, product design, data engineering, back and front).

Q: What kind of bond do you have with uppercase today?

C: uppercase is our main tech and development partner and we work with uppercase on a daily basis.

Q: What‘s next for Vendu?

C: The next step is scaling of the Smart Boliganalyse platform and commercialization of our R&D models.

Q: Any advice you would like to give to other start-ups who are trying to find someone to mate with?

C: Tick off the competence and experience and then check out the personal fit/values. It is also important to partner with someone who has the grit and solution oriented attitude to work through difficult issues and phases along the way.

At uppercase we’re always looking for the ones pushing boundaries and changing the world (notice: for the better). If you have an idea you want to run by us, don’t hesitate to get in touch!
