We all know the challenges that come with working as a team, understanding responsibilities, who’s accountable for what, where’s that project at etc etc.

Well running experiments is no different, to truly build an Evidence Driven Culture you need to get the whole team involved. With transparency around what experiments are running, and who’s working on what, more importantly, the learnings that each part of your team is gathering. You want to bring those learnings out of their silos and have them shared. Let them spark fresh insights in areas you may never thought possible. That’s the power of being Evidence Driven.

The Experiment Board is Upperstory’s way of helping you visually see what your team is working on. You can quickly see what Experiments are Valid, Invalid and what Experiments are in your Backlog. Everything is done in real-time for a truly collaborative experience.

All Experiments: The Experiment Board shows you all Experiments regardless of Goals making it easy to see everything thats happening.

Changing Status: Drag n Drop makes it fast to move Experiments from the backlog to Active .

Adding Notes: To add Notes, click on an Experiment and it will open the Experiment Details tray from there you can click on the Notes icon in the top right of the tray, this will expand the Discovery area and you can add your Notes.

Jump to Goals: You can easily jump to the Goal that the Experiment is part of by clicking on the Goal icon in the Experiment. Here’s a screenshot to show you how.

Creating Experiments

You can also create new Experiments from the Experiment Board by clicking on the Add Experiment button. Which will open up the New Experiment Modal.

Assigning Experiments to Goals

Assigning an Experiment to a Goal

A key difference when creating an Experiment in the Experiment Board is that the Goal is not automatically assigned. You will need to either select an Existing Goal or you can create a new Goal.

Select existing Goal: Start typing the name of the Goal and then select the Goal from the list of Goals as is shown in the image above.
Create a new Goal: If the goal you want doesn’t exist yet, simply type the name of the Goal and then once you have finished making your Experiment click Create Experiment and the Goal will automatically be created and assigned to that Experiment.

Let us know what you think.

Happy Experimenting!
