Upscribe is supporting Fixathon.io, the first online hackathon to help fix the climate
The first event we’ve ever sponsored its a 4-week online hackathon for individuals/teams to use their tech skills to build projects intended to fix the planet
This is Upscribe’s first time sponsoring an event and I am SOOO pumped to be apart of it.
Acknowledging the problem
It makes me sick how our race (humans) has completely ignored all effects we may have on this planet in our pursuit for more luxury, comfort, and “technological advancement”.
Well we live in a day in age where people are finally figuring out “hey, there are actually consequences?”. Not only that but more than ever before we have droves of creative and capable people networking online that can actually make something happen.
Finding a solution
Fixathon is a 4-week online hackathon for individuals or teams to use their tech skills to build and launch projects intended to help fix the climate. Fixathon has some amazing judges along with Simon Collison, Anne-Laure Le Cunff, Justin Jackson and more. So far there are 313 participants! I can’t wait to see what these teams come up with. This is an amazing example of people joining together for positive change and using our skills, creativity, and the internet to make stuff happen.
