Writing Your First Article
A Very Simple Example

This morning, I endeavored to write an article on how to structure your first article. Ironically, the complex structure of that article might be a little off-putting to some new writers. Here, I’m simplifying. This is an example of a very simple article for new writers that is easy to follow along.
A few considerations for your first article:
1. Choosing A Writing Structure
Long, unstructured articles can be hard to read. That’s not to say that they’re bad, but they might not reach as many readers as you intend. Short, thoughtful articles can be very powerful and have greater impact. For this article, I chose to write in “simple-first style” by prioritizing simplicity.
2. What’s Your Story?
I initially titled this section, “What do you want to share with your readers,” but I know how intimidating that question can be. Instead, ask yourself, what do I want to share? What’s your story? It doesn’t have to be a personal story. You might have tips, wisdom, jokes, and other thoughts to share.
