When you hear the term “data analysis,” what probably comes to mind first is a complex spreadsheet brimming with formulas and charts. This is certainly the way data analysis has been done in the past. But with innovative tools like Google Fusion Tables and Sisense, we can now visualize data and more easily glean insights.

The following is a roundup of the most popular free tools that can help you visualize your data:

Google Fusion Tables: This tool creates a dynamic table for data organized in rows and columns. It offers an easy way to visualize your data, share the tables, and publish them to the Web. You can also share your tables by embedding them in HTML code onto another website.

The only thing you need to know about getting started with Google Fusion Tables is that you must have a Google account. From there, it’s easy to create a new table in the My Data menu.
