Monochromatic is s type of color theory defined by a set of colors that all have the same hue, scaled from light to dark. Monochromatic colors can be found on a color wheel, and are often created by mixing colors of the same hue.

Monochromatic colors are classic and elegant and can be used in a variety of design settings. When using monochromatic colors, it is important to vary the shades, tints, and tones to create interest and depth.

Think of the color scheme for the brand Apple. The company uses (mostly) a limited color palette of just a few shades of black, white, and grey. This creates a sleek and modern look that is easily recognizable.

Another brand to look at would be Tiffany & Co. The luxury jewelry company is known for its use of different shades of blue, from light to dark. This color scheme is also classic and elegant, yet unique to the Tiffany brand.
