The elements of design are the building blocks of any artwork. By understanding and using these elements, you can create works that are both pleasing to the eye and meaningful. In this article, we’ll discuss the elements of design lines and shape.

Digital design especially relies on these fundamentals to create clean and concise designs. When used correctly, they can create an orderly and harmonious composition that is easy on the audience’s eyes and doesn’t require a lot of thinking.

LINES

Lines are one of the most basic elements of design and can be used to create a variety of images. There are two basic types of lines: curved and straight.

Other types of lines are created by combining curved and straight lines. Zigzag lines, for example, are created by combining curves and straights in a repeating pattern.
