I’m not too fond of math. I scraped by in my courses and shielded my eye from pluses, minuses, and square roots, but I loved art. I like looking at life through design, colors, shapes, and framing to tell stories and share information to reach a goal or inspire others.

What I’ve learned along the way through is that artists need math and especially in a world with so much data and demand for data handling. It’s become part of the story.

I will share five math equations for data artists and five equations for graphic artists. Things you should know and embrace, not because you love math, but because you love art and want to make your art better.
