Welcoming Charles Green to the Upstate Interactive Team

Our mission also includes involvement in our local Central New York tech community initiatives like Hack Upstate, Careers in Code, and Women in Coding, all founded by UI team members.
Our mission and method align with that of Charles Green, President and CEO of Assured Information Security (AIS) and who we are proud to announce is the newest member of Upstate Interactive’s advisory team!
AIS was founded in 2001 as a software company focused on critical Air Force and DoD cyber technology requirements research. It staffed and operated the Adversarial Sciences Laboratory within the Air Force Research Laboratory’s Information Directorate in Rome, New York, handling all areas of cyber operations. Since then, the company has grown to become a national leader in this highly dynamic and emerging field, supporting customers throughout business, industry, and the federal government.
Led by Green, AIS has enjoyed incredibly positive momentum lately, as the company was awarded a $48.4 million contract for full-spectrum cyber capabilities from the U.S. Air Force, tasked with providing tools and technologies that will aid in cyber warfare. This achievement comes off a winning year in 2018 that saw AIS named by Cybersecurity Ventures as #101 on the prestigious Cybersecurity 500 list for 2018, and awarded the Mohawk Valley EDGE’s Leading EDGE Award.
As well as his 17 years with AIS, Green serves on the Board of Directors of the Cyber New York Alliance, a not-for-profit company dedicated to the promotion of advanced computer and information science research and development in Central New York, and previous on the boards of DAVOCO, the Rome Industrial Development Corporation, cyber-security software company Digital Certainty.

Green will be working alongside fellow UI advisors Brian Corrigan and David Montanaro.
