Microsoft Azure provides a storage solution called Azure Blob Storage, which stores data depending on the frequency by which it is accessed. Multiple types of unstructured data can be stored with Blob Storage, including images, videos, audio, documents, and more.

UPTEAMIST uses this service mainly for its geo-redundancy and business continuity. The parameters for both can be easily set up on your Azure Blob Storage account. The backup of the solution is stored using Azure Blob Storage as well.

Here are the redundancy options for Azure:

  • RA-GRS: Read-Access Geo-Redundant Storage. If RA-GRS is enabled, egress targets for the secondary location are identical to those for the primary location.
  • GRS: Geo-Redundant Storage.
  • ZRS: Zone-Redundant Storage. Available only for block blobs.
  • LRS: Locally-Redundant Storage.
