We live in an increasingly digital world with powerful tools to mobilize the masses. Change-making has never been easier or more widespread, thanks to the technology of today and the wisdom of histories past. That’s why we created a #FilmFestival dedicated to the change that our bold and inspiring student influencers would like to see in the world.
Combining a traditional student film festival with a powerful online platform built for video-driven social impact campaigns, the UPTOGOOD Impact Film Festival asks students to produce and share videos / short films that can catalyze positive social change by highlighting social issues and solutions in their communities — and to use our film festival to amplify that impact.

8:30 AM — 12:00 PM
Ongoing registration. Storytellers, students, activists, impact journalists, filmmakers, and other passionate change-makers will gather from around the country to share their journey of making positive change. Every one of them brings a unique + impactful story. Join us and see what we’re all working toward.
9:00 AM — 10:00 AM
After registering, guests are welcome to attend the first panel discussion of the day: “Bringing Social Change to the Classroom: Sharing Best Practices.”
An influential board of social-impact practitioners will share their best practices & trade secrets while highlighting opportunities to incorporate social change into classrooms focused on filmmaking, digital marketing, activism, and more.
10:15 AM — 11:45 AM
“Film Case Studies: The Art of A Successful Impact Story”
This next panel will allow attendees to gain insight into the art of storytelling for impact through conversations with filmmakers who have produced successful documentaries of high production value while delivering meaningful social change.
12:00 PM — 1:45 PM
Lunch: “Networking for Social Impact”
While guests enjoy lunch, select friends of the festival will facilitate roundtable discussions and connections.
2:00 PM — 3:00 PM
“Best Practices in Campaigning for Impact: At the intersection of Storytelling and Social Impact.”
Attendees of this special panel will gain insight from practitioners and experts on leveraging the power of storytelling to produce impact campaigns for positive social change.

And last — but not least — sit back and enjoy UPTOGOOD’s favorite change-makers at work! Winners and Runners-up will have their incredible films displayed on the big screen to further their impact and spur inspiration & discussion for future change-makers.
