Time is one of the most valuable intangible assets for everyone, anyone, anywhere. Yet most of it is lost to non productive things, some of them essential, like sleep and some of them, well not really.

Planning is the best way for us to probably manage our time well, but planning is not effective. You can still plan, but somethings might come up, some you may have control over and some you might not.

There is also the big ol’ stubborn hobby most of us love so much. Procrastination!

Procrastination has become so bad in our lives that sometimes you may not even realize you are doing it. It becomes managed in our subconscious, where we have little control.

So how do you know you are procrastinating when you are planning?

Ask yourself this one simple question, ‘WHY CANT I DO IT NOW?’

I have realized most of the time I plan and end up procrastinating, its always next week, next month, okay tomorrow, but when I try to figure out why not today there usually is no reason.

If you always find yourself pushing things into the next day, week, month or year, even the next hour without reason (or at least a reasonable one)…you are a procrastinator. Its most likely that task is going to be pushed until, it can no longer be pushed, thats when the assignment is due in a few hours, or the boss is coming for inspection tomorrow!

Procrastination is a fun thing to do, it makes us feel relieved in the moment, but usually lead to stress later on as the task constantly pop up in our minds. That moment when you are having fun and you suddenly need to sit down because the thought of the procrastinated task has killed your vibe, trust me its not pretty!

So its time you learn to read yourself, be sure you are not procrastinating (why is this word so long?) when you push something to the next day. If the question of why tomorrow, is not fully answered, its more likely you are.
