I moved to Toronto in September 2019 for my master’s. On my arrival, College Street was very vibrant and the spot to be! Since COVID, the place feels like a ghost town. A pressing issue that I observed is the rise in food insecurities that manifested itself in long lines at the Fort York Food Bank on College Street. However, the City of Toronto took some actions against the rising food insecurities. Click if you want to know more :)
