As a featured exhibitor and speaker, we represented Urban Sharing at one of the year’s most important industry events.

Last week our team traveled to London for Move 2020, the largest annual mobility conference in Europe. The 8,000-attendee event brought together the who’s-who of industry professionals, showcasing the diverse interpretations what “mobility” means today, and most importantly, what we all hope it can look like in the future. From car and petroleum companies looking to develop more sustainable products, to mobility-as-a-service solutions, to newcomers in micromobility hardware, it was a colorful spectrum of ideas and innovations.

Despite the diversity of businesses and products represented, there was one theme that resonated the loudest: that developments in digital technology are, and will continue to be, the most important driver of change. As one of the only fleet management software platforms represented, our end-to-end technology attracted the attention of industry leaders looking to make their shared mobility solutions easier to use and more efficient to operate.

Along with being a featured exhibitor, Urban Sharing was represented by our CTO Johan Høgåsen-Hallesby, who took the stage alongside speakers from companies like Lyft, Bird, Ford, and Voi. Speaking on the “Active Mobility and Ability” stage, he shared his thoughts about the challenges cities face and the mobility solutions they need. Using Oslo as a case example, one of the first European capitals to remove cars from the city center, he presented our vision for how cities can become friendlier and more accessible through smart applications of mobility technology.

Throughout the two-day event we engaged in a constant stream of inspiring conversations with industry influencers, and are already setting up meetings with potential new partners. Thanks to everyone involved for a fantastic event!
