The sale signs are up at every store and the rush to get everything that is needed is in full swing. From clothes to shoes and backpacks to school supplies are in high demand. This time of the year for school and stores alike is a very busy time. Stores are advertising extreme deals and are throwing coupons all around. Schools are preparing for enrollment day and there is much to be done.

Parents are starting to feel the pressure with how much they have to get done. Going back to school each year is a crazy task for anyone involved. Parents must make time to go shopping for all the back to school necessities. From shopping for clothes, shoes, supplies, and everything in between can really put some strain on parents. Retailers sure know how to target parents and students alike in order to make the best sales. There are parents who will gather the best coupons and shop for the best prices. There are also parents who sometimes don’t really know how to go about looking. Nevertheless stores make out big with sales.

Here in the US there are even states who have a back to school no tax day. So of course parents even are willing to travel some distance for the savings. This also boots the earnings of retailers since they get shoppers form other states. In my state of Kansas we have people who will travel to Missouri for “No Tax Day.” People really do take advantage of the extra savings. Even if you aren’t a parent or a student, you can still get into the spirit of saving for back to school. Stores all over the country have sales that are worth your time.

Time is something that starts to dwindle for those who are in the education career. For teachers, principals, secretaries, custodians, and anyone else who works at a school time is running out. There is so much to get ready and have done for the enrollment day and even more for the first day of school. Everyone involved has a priority that needs to be executed with a lot of hard work. Secretaries are the ones in the front line on enrollment day. Parents come ready and willing to get all the paperwork done so that their child can start another school year. Teachers are in a hurry to prepare their classrooms. Principals are making sure with the custodians that all the cleaning and organization of the school has been met.

No matter how stressful all of this can be, it’s worth the hassle. The joy and excitement that comes with the going back to school is truly magical. The kids are always so happy and eager to go back on that first day that it makes all the hard work pay off. Working in a school has made me see that first day in a whole different way. I was once a child that couldn’t wait to go back for another year. Now I am an adult who is still gets butterflies thinking about the first day back to school.
