Patrick Bescoby, one of our newest recruits, takes to reviewing the newest single from up-and-coming indie band The Gallery and outlines all the reasons this band are one to watch out for.

After a slight reshuffle concerning old faces departing and fresh faces taking centre stage, The Gallery are very much back. New Single ‘Pesticide’ was released in late February and it has everything to suggest that this band mean serious business.

Following their visit to the URY studio earlier last year where they put on a powerful set that you can check out on the URY Music Facebook page, The Wakefield quartet seems to have taken a new approach on this single. Opting for a heavier tone for drums and lead guitar compared to their previous tracks, which has paid off as something which suits lead singer Matthew Rees’ taunting vocals leading up to the chorus.

When it comes to the chorus, all hell is let loose, and the raw talent, energy and mayhem is released; something which makes you want to get on your feet and let go of everything. It shows the determination and hard-working ethic of the band, and despite new faces having to come in and the band having to adapt to this, they have no intention of slowing things down. Two and a half minutes of pure energy, entertainment and raw quality. A superb new single from The Gallery, watch the video for it below.
