It’s the last week of exams, and we’ve got plenty of recommendations for your post-exam party playlists.
Don’t Ask — Aeris Roves
‘Don’t Ask’ is the latest release from London-based singer-songwriter Aeris Roves, and it follows his acclaimed debut LP, Moon By Island Gardens, which dropped last year. The track is a mellow and atmospheric one, featuring an effective blend of R&B and pop: it’s a brilliant performance from a young artist on the rise.
Speedboat — Denzel Curry
The enigmatic Denzel Curry returns with his newest release, ‘SPEEDBOAT’, which dropped earlier this week. The 24-year-old Florida rapper has announced that the track will appear alongside his other recent release, ‘RICKY’, on his upcoming LP, ZUU, which is set for release this month, less than a year after his acclaimed 2018 effort TAI300.
Don’t You Play With Me — Ramz ft. LD
‘Don’t Play With Me’ is taken from Ramz’s debut LP Blockbuster, which dropped last week. In this track, fellow grime artist LD, from the group 67, features alongside the 22-year-old Londoner. Also on the new album are Ramz’ break-out singles: ‘Barking’ and ‘Family Tree’
Record Collection — Kaiser Chiefs
‘Record Collection’ is the new release from Yorkshire indie group Kaiser Chiefs, and it is their first new material since the band’s 2016 LP, Stay Together. The group describe the track as a return to their roots, and it has a distinctly electro-pop influence. ‘Record Collection’ will also appear on the Kaiser Chiefs’ upcoming record, Duck, which is set for release on the 26th of July.
You & Me — Mizzy
This is the latest release from rising London-based R&B artist Mizzy, following on from his breakout debut single ‘Sweet One’. The young east London star originally pursued a professional football career in his teens, but has now focussed his efforts into his biggest passion: music. Since 2018 he has developed a sizeable following that is still growing — he is definitely one to watch!
Wish You Well — Sigala & Becky Hill
London-based DJ Sigala returns with ‘Wish You Well’, a tune set to be a summer hit, and featuring the rising British pop star Becky Hill. 2018 was a big year for Norfolk-born Sigala, marking the release of his debut album Brighter Days and the chart-topping singles ‘Lullaby’ and ‘Came Here For Love’.
Out Of Order — RIKA
‘Out Of Order’ is the new single from 18-year-old pop singer-songwriter RIKA. RIKA signed for Virgin Records last year, at just 17 years old, and will be performing her biggest show yet, this weekend, with a slot at Radio 1’s Big Weekend.
All Your Friends — The Snuts
‘All Your Friends’ is the latest release from Scottish indie-rockers The Snuts, fresh off their performances at Live At Leeds and The Great Escape earlier this month. The group are on course for a massive year as they continue their rapid rise: they have just signed for Parlophone records, and are set to join their fellow countryman Lewis Capaldi, as support for his winter tour. There are also rumours that a debut LP is on the horizon.

‘Teardrops’ is the latest release from up-and-coming DJ/producer The Wild. The Wild is best known for his remix of George Ezra’s 2018 hit ‘Shotgun’, which became a streaming hit last year.
