As usual, our Digital Librarians are keeping you in the loop with some of this week’s hottest new releases. Read on to catch them for yourself.

daisy dream — yeardley

‘daisy dream’ is the new single from yeardley, an indie band who hail from Des Moines, Iowa. This is the band’s debut single, released on the 1st of December, and it can be streamed on their Bandcamp and Soundcloud pages.

Expect charmingly stripped-back, tasteful instrumentation and vocals that, at times, have an eerily whisper-like quality. An intriguing debut single, to say the very least. Take a listen below.

Grip — Seeb & Bastille

‘Grip’ is the new single from Norwegian EDM producers Seeb — Simen Eriksrud and Espen Berg — who are best known for their 2015 smash hit: a remix of Mark Posner’s ‘I Took A Pill in Ibiza.’

This single features British indie pop group Bastille, and it is the group’s second collaboration this year, following their #2 hit ‘Happiness’ with producer Marshmello.

Faded Love — AmPm

This is the new single from Japanese production unit AmPm, who were the most streamed Japanese artist of last year thanks to their breakout single ‘Best Part of Us’. The single has now reached just under 20 million streams on Spotify, and the group have played international shows supporting the likes of Galantis and Jonas Blue.

Testimony — Kodak Black

Bill K Kapri, also known as Kodak Black, is a twenty-one-year-old rapper from Florida, taking his stage name from his childhood nickname (“Black”) and Kodak the camera company. Kodak began making music as part of the group Brutal Youngnz, under a different moniker, at twelve, before branching out into solo music when he was sixteen.

This single, ‘Testimony’, is the latest from his upcoming album, DYING TO LIVE, which is due for release on the 14th of December. This comes after the singles ‘Calling My Spirits’ and the highly successful ‘ZEZE’, which featured Travis Scott.

Ride — Deeplowdog & Randy Seidman

Deeplowdog are a Russian EDM trio producing a blend of future and deep house. This track sees them collaborate with Randy Seidman, an LA-based DJ who has toured the world, headlining Ministry of Sound shows in Korea whilst scoring chart-topping hits with two of his early EPs.

‘Ride’ is Deelowdog’s long awaited return and their first collaboration with Seidman. The result? An epic house anthem. Listen below.

Fool Moon — Anteros

Female-fronted indie four-piece Anteros have released their new single ‘Fool Moon’, which fans will be hoping indicates that the release of a new EP is on the horizon.

With Clash stating that the band are ‘widely tipped to explode in 2019’, you might want to give this track a listen and get ahead of the curve. Catch the music video below.

Calling Your Name — Parabola West

New Zealand-based Parabola West draws inspirations from ‘Nordic folk roots, electronica, and organic sounds’. Her website describes her as a ‘soundscape storyteller.’

This new single certainly reflects all of the above, and the accompanying video, with its mystical landscape, provides the perfect backdrop for this ethereal track.

Surrender — Lily McKenzie ft. Team Salut

South London singer-songwriter Lily McKenzie’s latest single, ‘Surrender’, sees her join forces with Team Salut — ‘self taught multi-instrumentalists’ who craft the influence of their roots into afrobeat-style beats. The result is a vibrant track that blends some of London’s hottest, and most promising, talent.

Sensei — ZieZie

South London rapper ZieZie, who broke out earlier this year when his single ‘Fine Girl’ charted in the UK, is back with another single. ‘Sensei’ is ZieZie’s first new release since ‘Fine Girl’ went viral on BBC Radio 1 and Capital Xtra earlier this year, and it looks like this track could replicate his previous success.

Look Back At It — A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie

‘Look Back At It’ is the new release from Bronx MC A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, who broke out in 2017 with his single ‘Drowning’ which went triple-platinum in the US.

This single follows Boogie’s third LP, International Artist, which dropped earlier this year, and features the likes of Kap G and NAV. The video below already has over one million views, so continued commercial success is surely on the cards for Hoodie.
