Here are URY Music’s hottest tracks for this week! Don’t forget, you can listen to even more with our spotify playlist at the end of the article. And, if you’re a musician or promoter who would like to see your music here, read to the end.

In My Bones — Ray Wills

This is the debut single from the South’s most exciting talent. ‘In My Bones’ features Jack Geary on drums, Oli Rushen on guitar, George Maclean on bass, and was produced by Lucas Anderson. This track is intentionally more easy listening than many of Ray’s other compositions, as he aims to strike a chord with as wide an audience as possible with his first track.

Ray played a session with us back in February, check out the video of it below:

Meet Mr. NICEGUY — $uicideboy$

This is the lead single from New Orleans rap duo $uicideboy$’ latest album, I Want To Die In New Orleans. The group’s members, known as $lick and Ruby Da Cherry, are cousins who hail from the Seventh Ward neighbourhood of New Orleans. Together, they are one of the the fastest-rising acts in American hip-hop right now, and this new album comes after sold-out tours in both Europe and North America.

Lions — At Pavillon

‘Lions’ is the new single from Austrian-based indie group At Pavillon. This is the third single to be released from their upcoming debut studio album, Believe Us, which is set to arrive in spring of 2019. The group have grown steadily in the European underground indie scene over the last year, and this summer they landed a spot at Austria’s largest music festival, Frequency. Their debut album is expected to break the four-piece into the international indie scene, so get ahead of the curve and listen below.

Angels — Tom Walker

In mid-2017, Tom Walker was named as one of the new additions to the BBC Radio 1 Brit List, alongside other rising British talent such as Stefflon Don and J Hus. Tom Walker has played sold-out tours, as well as support slots for artists like George Ezra, Gallant, and Jake Bugg. On 28 September, Walker began his US tour, in Connecticut, supporting The Script.

Sugar Cane — Shakka

Shakka Philip, known better simply as ‘Shakka’, is a British singer, songwriter, and producer. One of his credits, amongst many others, includes being the music producer for E4’s TV series Chewing Gum, which broadcast its second season in January/February of 2017. In 2016, his EP, The Island, earned Shakka a second MOBO Award for Best R&B/Soul Act after it peaked at #17 in the UK Charts.

Nice Girl — Ashnikko

Born in North Carolina, Ashnikko now lives in London after also spending time in Estonia and Latvia. Her musical pursuits began under the guise of an ‘internship’, at least that’s what she had her family believe when she would fly out to London on the weekends from Latvia and began to MC.

Make You Feel — Wild Front

South coast indie band Wild Front have released this latest single, ‘Make You Feel’, ahead of their highly anticipated debut studio album, which is set for release next year. The four-piece have a range of influences that contribute to their eclectic sound, with their biggest inspiration being 80s alternative indie music. The band are also about to embark on a regional tour this October, after a busy summer festival season, so if you like what you hear, why not see them live?

Surprise Me — Mahalia

‘Surprise Me’ is the latest single from Mahalia, a young, up-and-coming R&B/soul singer from Birmingham. She is billed as one of the most promising young artists in the UK at the moment, signed her first major record deal at just thirteen years old, and released her highly successful debut LP, Diary of Me, back in 2016. In recent years, she has also supported some huge acts, such as: Ed Sheeran, Emeli Sandé, and Kendrick Lamar, to name a few.

A Wave Goodbye to the People Who Said I’d Win — The Ninth Wave

The Ninth Wave are a ‘gothic pop’ quartet from Scotland, and this track is from their upcoming album, yet to be titled, which will be their debut release.

The band have previously been playlisted by both URY and the Student Radio Association, so regular listeners of ours should be no strangers to them.

Queen Of Hearts — Franko Fraize

Frankie Dean, better known by the name Franko Fraize, hails from Thetford, a small village in Norfolk, and is ‘a rapper who tells it as he sees it’. Fraize’s big break came back in 2014 when Radio 1 played his track ‘Watch How I’m Moving’. Four years later, and this is his latest release, ‘Queen of Hearts’.
