Request your Office 365 Group!
When groups first became available on campus anyone was able to create their own group on-the-fly. Unfortunately, this led to confusion with many groups having similarly named email addresses as existing distribution lists and an increase in spam to members of Groups with open settings.
To protect against these issues going-forward, requests for new groups are now sent through the Help Desk. We’ll make sure the naming conventions don’t lead to any issues, get your account created and apply some of the more advanced administrative level security to your Group for you. You may not be able to create a group on-the-fly, but the slight delay leads to a substantial increase in security for you, your members and the campus at large.

Management is easy. Just open your group in Office 365, add a logo, add members, set the group to private or public. That’s it!
