Professor at the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business and creator of Usechain, Henry Cao gave the keynote address at a meeting between Columbia Business School and the Guanghua Business School of Peking University, entitled “The Future of Blockchain x FINTECH” .
Cao, who previously taught at Yale, believes that blockchain will revolutionize the financial sector. Blockchain’s decentralized nature can vastly improve trust between transacting parties, which is critical in all forms of finance.
Professor Cao introduced his concept for a new blockchain, Usechain, that incorporates real identity and verifiable information. A blockchain ecosystem built on identity and a combination of off chain and on chain information will increase the efficiency and reliability of the global economic system.
