It’s not often a song can make you laugh and cry from one verse to another. Depending on your current relationship status, “Erase Me” by Kid Cudi is everything from a f*ck-you breakup song to a hilarious car jam you can sing-scream with your friends.

Featuring Kanye West, this track from Cudi’s 2010 Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager, is arguably one of the most fun songs on the album. The lyrics to “Erase Me” are actually pretty depressing, but the exaggerated key changes and elongated vowels seem as if he’s actually making fun of the “sad bastard” heartbreak stereotype in music.

West raps about a girl named Aria saying, “I couldn’t get my shit out / Anyway / I hope you die Aria,” and it’s still probably one of his most clever lines to-date.

While Cudi has since ventured into other areas of music, “Erase Me” will be remembered as part of his glory days.
