Elon Musk’s New Startup Aims to Build a “Truth-Seeking” AI
Elon Musk has launched his long-teased artificial intelligence startup xAI, unveiling a team of Silicon Valley engineers and researchers from Tesla, Google, and Microsoft in a bid to build a truth-seeking alternative to OpenAI & ChatGPT.
Elon Musk will lead a team that includes Igor Babuschkin, a former engineer at DeepMind, Tony Wu, who worked at Google, Christian Szegedy, who was also a research scientist at Google, and Greg Yang, who was previously at Microsoft.
The new company is actively recruiting experienced engineers and researchers in the Bay Area and is looking to raise $100 million in funding.
The controversial billionaire had said in April that he would launch TruthGPT or a maximum truth-seeking AI to rival OpenAI’s ChatGPT or Google’s Bard that tries to understand the nature of the universe.
“The goal of xAI is to understand the true nature of the universe.”
