We will discuss the Transmitting of the frequency-modulated signals up to 15 Kms with the help of some electronic devices like 2SC1972, 2SC4541 and the 2N5459.

For this purpose, we have to first know the concept of FM which has the full form Frequency Modulation, this means the sound wave is superposed in another way called the carrier wave which is transduced and the by modulated frequency of the composite wave it can travel a long distance and at the receiver end the modulated composite wave is extracted and the actual signal is received this is called the frequency modulation.

So now we will discuss about that how we can model and simulate a small radio station in our house itself with a DIY project

First, we will discuss the use of the 2SC1972 module

Introduction to 2SC1972

We will use the 2SC1972 module first for the audio signal transmission with the frequency-modulated domain.

This is a silicon epitaxial planar type transistor designed for RF Power amplifiers on VHF band mobile radio applications.

Due to the high High power gain, it can transmit the data up to 175vMHz.

Applications of the 2SC1972

The main applications of the 2SC1972 module are listed below

  • This is mainly used for the 10 to 14 watts output power amplifiers in VHF band mobile radio applications.

The above picture shows an arrangement of the typical radio station

  • Every capacitor can be changed and by increasing decreasing the capacitance the tuning of the radio can be done.

Introduction to 2N5459

This is a special kind of JFET (Junction field-effect transistor)

The main application of this JFET is a low-level audio amplifier and analog switching applications.

The above pictures show a physical image of the 2N5459.

Advantages over BJT

This device has an ample of advantages over the normal BJTs because of it’s high impedance along with a low noise output making them ideal for use in amplifier circuits that has very small input signals.

For this purpose of modelling of a sample radio station, we can also use the 2N5459 for the receiving and sending the FM signals so it can also be successfully implied for our required operation. And as this can act as power amplifier so the circuit damage protection will also be there for the radio receivers.

The above picture shows a simple circuit of the Transistor which can be used for the FM signal transfer. By constructing the circuit this can be also simulated that by a power amplifier how to send radio signals over a greater range.

The same circuit can be simulated using the 2SC4541

The above picture shows a physical image of the 2SC4541 Transistor.

And the below picture shows a basic structure of a simple test circuit given in the datasheet

Conclusion
