Tech and Product Updates
We’re putting the final touches on the testnet! The last hurdle mostly concerns the oracle that tells the UTU Trust Token smart contract which endorsers to reward. Unfortunately our lead smart contract and oracle developer caught Covid, so that delayed things a bit. But we’ll get there soon.
We’re continuing our work with Ocean Protocol on Milestone 2 and 3 of our agreement. In Milestone 2, we’re designing how our trust signals will be directly integrated into Ocean Market. In Milestone 3, we’ll extend the definition of what “In your network” entails for Ocean Market users, and generally improve the trust signals. A good part of this work overlaps with what we’re building for the testnet, particularly the ability for users to connect their social media accounts to our protocol.
We’re also in the process of reworking the UTU Coin reward scheme for earning UTT in our protocol, and generally applying the Web3 sustainability loop model. That will be explained in a coming whitepaper update soon.
Also, we just got word that the integration of the Creditworthiness API for our p2p lending client, Jamborow, was finished successfully! So this should go live on their platform any moment now. Stay tuned for more news about this.
Roadmap Update
We’ve updated our roadmap for 2022!
In addition to building lots of products and features, we will also launch a few community initiatives, such as:
- Opening up our roadmap for community feedback.
- Launching bounties and grants.
- Starting the UTU governance process.

Partnership with Blockster
We partnered with Blockster, a content platform on which users can discover, connect, learn and earn all things crypto.
They’ve got a large, engaged community of over 500,000 users and we’re going to work together to create informational content to spread the word about UTU.
We are excited to work with Blockster to increase awareness of UTU!
