Building a Broadway for Everyone

How do you develop a community for all walks of life in a deserted area?

As many neighborhoods in the urban core of San Antonio continue to develop themselves into walkable, dense urban neighborhoods, lower Broadway continues to be underutilized and blighted. Thus far, most development has been aimed at the middle/upper class residents looking for a lifestyle change. Lower Broadway, in a very key location, has the potential to develop itself into a mixed-income, mixed-use neighborhood, providing for all walks of life. A few key components of this project are to go in depth as to why this area has been overlooked with investment & how to develop this neighborhood for everyone, while engaging the community that scarcely exists in the current built environment.
