I lived in East Harlem all my life and from the past fives years I have noticed the changes. One of the most recent changes has been the influx of younger single people moving in. With the neighborhood being historic for both Spanish and Black families the sight of this bar is a little out of place. I can tell the demgraphic for this bar the hipsters or “gentrifiers” if you will. We have other bars in the neighborhood but there mostly bar/ restaurants and are Spanish bars as well.
