Hilton & the Government

When I think about Hilton and the government interacting, nothing immediately comes to mind. I have not personally had any interaction or experience with the goverment and Hilton.

But, as I think about it more, Hilton interacts so much with various government entities. For example, Hilton has a huge initiative currently to hire veterans. There is so much that could be done on social media to increase engagement with veterans and Hilton. Additionally, Hilton has an opportunity to work with government entities in developing relationships to sell hotel rooms and meeting space for conferences and conventions. The Hilton Honors program team is now focusing much of their efforts on B2B marketing, so I would assume that the government is a top priority.

Questions I’m interested in having answered:

• How do government entities remain neutral on social media? Is it hard to not lean one way politically?
• Is there a preferred social media listening platform or tool utilized by most government entities?
