Dreams
Dreams,
Come to us in our sleep,
Brings us joy or makes us weep,
Floating bits of existence,
You may travel far or cover no distance,
Reveals both our worries and inner desires,
Has the ability to discourage or inspire,
We can only sit and watch as it all unfolds,
As we give our mind full control,
A temple filled with different revelations,
That can shake our very foundations,
Although it could also just be nothing at all,
Just a regular day lived after nightfall,
A construct and illusion created by the mind,
With our hidden motivations and goals to find,
Do we imagine the dream or actually live it everyday,
It is hard to say for no one knows the truth anyway,
Perhaps there is more truth to them then we let on,
I guess we will know once we all are gone,
So next time you wake up and say “it was just a dream”,
Just remember things may not be as they seem.
