Strength,

Not defined by power,

But the ability to stay unmoved

The size and heart of the mountain,

Only realized from the serenity of the surrounding forest

The scars of it’s many battles apparent,

But still brooding over us all the more wise

The withered face of the rock,

Chipped away by the sharp edge of time

Stands proud for all to see,

A true monument for all of mankind

The mountain has stood for a lifetimes,

An image of many myth and lore

But one day even the mountain will have to accept,

That there will be a time it will be no more

Strength, the ability to accept and let go,

Strength, the ability to stare into the unknown

Strength
